Is the World Crazy? Or is it me?

Rep. Senator Larry Craig

I recently read this disturbing article about the controversial sex scandal surrounding the Republican Senator, Larry Craig. The Idaho Senator allegedly made sexual advances towards an undercover cop in a men's public restroom. He was arrested and pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct.
The Senator's sexual orientation is not so much an issue for me. I am in complete support of gay rights and one's freedom of expression. What is mind boggling, however, is how this man can lead a homosexual lifestyle in his personal life and be proactive in marginalizing gay people in his professional. In 1996 he voted no on prohibiting job discrimination based on one's sexual orientation. In 2000 he voted no on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. In 2006 he voted yes on a constitutional ban against gay marriage.
I would like to think that someone such as Senator Craig would utilize his political power to be an advocate for his moral beliefs. Instead, he chooses to be a hypocrite and operate under the guise of a conservative. This man is clearly in denial. Based on his schizophrenic actions, I am convinced that he is indeed crazy.
